Promise is a specialist brokerage and packager dealing with 1st mortgages, secured loans, bridging loans, commercial mortgages and development finance.
Most of our business is generated through a large network of introducing brokers and we have arrangements with some of the UK’s largest mortgage networks and mortgage clubs to provide service to their members. We also generate business direct from consumers through our own advertising.

We are always willing to consider suitable applicants for the following roles and either create a position for outstanding candidates or stay in touch until an opportunity arises.

The typical roles we recruit for are office based in Wolverhampton and are as follows:

  1. Mortgage / secured loan administrator
    You would work alongside a case manager and an adviser dealing with new cases we receive which have been underwritten and sold with a view to processing them to completion with lenders from our extensive panel. The skills for processing loans or mortgages are transferable so either background is beneficial. As you gain experience I would expect that you would be able to progress to case manager, adviser or underwriter depending on your preferences and abilities.

  2. Broker sales manager
    This would suit someone with a strong sales background who is confident in building relationships over the phone and potentially even meeting our brokers face to face. We would train you to have a good understanding of all our products – secured loans, mortgages, bridging and commercial loans – so you can discuss them with confidence with brokers with a view to dealing with new business enquiries which you then pass on to a specialist underwriter. You would work as part of the sales team with the responsibility to build relationships with a group of brokers we provide to you. Your ultimate goal is to generate and convert new enquiries through both reactive and proactive relationships with your dedicated brokers and the role comprises a variety of inbound and outbound telephone work plus an equal amount of technical and support activity to successfully build and maintain relationships. This is not cold calling and telephone work is only part of the wider relationship and support role.
    Progression in to adviser or underwriter is the most likely next step.

  3. Commercial / bridging underwriter / processer
    This role would suit someone who enjoys both sales and administration as there is a strong process requirement which follows the initial sales and underwriting function. This is a smaller team where you would work with others to place and package our commercial / bridging and specialist mortgage business. Your customer would generally be our introducing brokers and you would own the case from initial enquiry to completion. A good eye for detail is needed plus a desire to learn and plenty of lateral thinking and a flair for problem solving would be an advantage

  4. Loan / Mortgage adviser
    If you have an ambitious and self employed mind set but want the comfort of an employed role with all the support you need, this could be the job for you.
    To be successful in this role you need to work to very high and professional standards as you are a regulated individual under the FCA regime. You must be (or become) CEMAP qualified to be considered for this position and possess a number of qualities including an eye for detail, a flair for sales and building relationships and a hunger for knowledge and responsibility. This is potentially the most rewarding role and would suit a confident and self reliant person who enjoys providing high service levels.
    The role would involve dealing with brokers and their clients to use your knowledge and experience to offer suitable products and liaise with lenders to package the application to each lender’s requirements. With administrative support you would then own the case through to completion. You would be allocated your own brokers and through delivering an excellent service build relationships to get repeat business.
